Which research papers are hot in Southeast Asia?

Essential Science Indicators (ESI) from Clarivate Analytics is updated every two months. At each update, we look at Hot Papers, which are papers published in the past two years that are in the top one-tenth of one percent (0.1%) for their field and publication date. These represent young papers that have rapidly gathered a high number of citations.

In the most recent update, which covers citations tallied during November and December 2017, we identified a total of 67 Hot Papers (34 original articles and 33 reviews) with a reprint author from Southeast Asia. Singapore leads with 50 papers, followed by Malaysia with 14, and Thailand and Vietnam having 2 each. These papers span 17 ESI subject categories.
