New WOS December 16 Release Notes
Data Citation Index is now available for you to explore on the new Web of Science. The Data Citation Index provides a single point of access to quality research data from global repositories across disciplines. Descriptive records are created for data objects and linked to articles in the Web of Science.
You can now create a more targeted and meaningful search query with the help of the newly redesigned search aids: Subject descriptors in Data Citation Index and Zoological Record. You can access them by clicking the link Select from list below each respective search field.
Web of Science Core Collection and All Databases results now offer links to the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Institutional Repository for open access content. Chinese Academy of Sciences is the leading open access repository in China with whom Web of Science has partnered to bring additional visibility to open access content from China.
Also, we have added Online Public Access Catalog links on the full record. If your institution has OPAC links configured, then this option will appear in the full text links dropdown menu on the full record.
You can now search by Web of Science Categories in Advanced Search by selecting this new field from the field dropdown menu. As you type, the matching categories will be displayed in a type-ahead list so you can make an easy selection.
On any summary results page, if you click the Add to Marked List button without yet selecting any records, you will be presented with an overlay that allows you to choose which records to add to the Marked List.
Include Journal Citation Report journal information popup in Author Records
Author Records are becoming fully integrated with Web of Science. As part of this ongoing effort, publications listed in Author Records will contain a link to open a Journal Citation Reports (JCR) information popup when the journal covered by JCR.
