Public Claimed Profiles are now open for Corrections
With this release, users are now able to submit corrections to not only unclaimed profiles, but also claimed researcher profiles if they identify any incorrect publication on that record. All received correction requests will be carefully checked to ensure the accuracy of information. Submitter of a correction will be notified when the request is received. Also, the profile owner will be informed with detailed correction summary whenever any changes to their profiles are approved.
Key Features:
Submit a correction to a claimed profile: On the profile page of a claimed profile, the “Submit a Correction” button is now enabled for users to request correction for a claimed profile. The remained process will be as same as it is now for unclaimed profiles corrections.
Merge a claimed profile with one or multiple unclaimed profiles: On the researcher search results page, users can now select ONE claimed profile to merge with other one or multiple unclaimed profiles. Click on the “Merge Records” button will direct users to the Merge Author Records process. Please note:
- Merging will not be allowed when two or more claimed profiles are selected. It is only allowed to merge one claimed profile with one or multiple unclaimed profiles at a time.
- When multiple profiles including a claimed profile are merged, we will take the claimed profile as primary and merge the other unclaimed profiles into it.
- All requests to merge profiles will be manually checked by our correction team.
Email Notification:
Whenever a correction request is submitted, the submitter will receive email notification to confirm on the request. Both profile owner and the submitter will receive email updates when the correction request is approved by our correction team. Only the submitter will receive email updates when the request is rejected.
