Release Notes - August 3, 2023

Full Record Redesign; Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Refine and Analyze Results for all Web of Science Core Collection users; Add peer reviews to preprints.

Full Record Redesign

This release of the Web of Science will include a new design for the full record for all collections on the platform. The design includes more white space and better standardization of fonts and links to improve readability and ease of use.

Refine and Analyze by Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

All Web of Science Core Collection users will now see UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) category displayed under “Categories / Classifications” section the full record view and will have the ability to Refine and Analyze search results using the SDG categories. Web of Science will display 16 of the 17 SDGs. SDG categories are mapped by comparing to Micro Citation Topics applied to WoS Core Collection Records. Each time Micro Citation Topics are recalculated, SDGs will also be updated.  For More information refer to the InCites Benchmarking Help file

Add Peer Reviews to Preprints

With the addition of the Preprint Citation Index, we’ve expanded the ability to create community reviews for preprints. This is a great opportunity for early career researchers to practice their peer review skills and display the preprints they’ve reviewed for on their profiles to show colleagues, editors, and other reviewers that they wish to contribute to the scholarly record.

Thank you for your support and feedback. Together we will bring a better Web of Science to all.
