Richard is Associate Director of Value Communication at Clarivate and provides leadership for the team of 16 medical writers. Having come from a scientific marketing background, Richard brings an astute commercial perspective to the Value Communication team.
Collaborating with our clients in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, Richard has led the development of payer-facing value propositions, message testing, evidence dossiers, Health Technology Assessment submissions, technical reports, and peer-reviewed manuscripts across a comprehensive range of indications. Richard is known among our clients and within our team for having an aptitude for taking on projects that break the mould. He has led workshops and seminars for clients on diverse topics, including value proposition development, market access trends, multichannel payer communication, and real-world evidence.
Prior to joining Clarivate, Richard was PR Content Editor and Science Writer at a life science marketing agency, where he produced content on behalf of global life science brands. His work has featured in leading trade media publications and has been published by Nature, Scientific American, and Chemistry World. Richard has a PhD from the University of Durham and a master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Manchester.
