Web of Science Expanded API
Bugfix for category codes: The two-character codes for traditional Web of Science Categories (aka ASCA categories) were not being included in responses for categories that include an ampersand.
Example request URL: https://api.clarivate.com/api/wos/?firstRecord=1&databaseId=WOS&count=1&usrQuery=WC=(Health Policy %26 Services)
Example response (partial):
Note, category codes are only provided for the traditional categories, not extended.
Change to documentation: X-ApiKey is now only included in the ‘Authorization’ section of the documentation to prevent confusion. The functionality of X-ApiKey has not changed; it must be included as part of the request header.
Example curl request: curl –location ‘https://wos-api.clarivate.com/api/wos/id/WOS:000819841500009?firstRecord=1&databaseId=WOS&count=1‘ –header ‘X-ApiKey: dbc2ad57example93tokenef9b9′ –header ‘Accept: application/json’
Web of Science Researcher API
Searcher operator expansion: q=PARAM=(“val1” operator “val2”) will now be interpreted identically to q=PARAM=”val1″ operator PARAM=”val2″. For example, q=RID=(A-7407-2013 OR A-4401-2013) is equivalent to q=RID=A-7407-2013 OR RID=A-4401-2013 and will return results for both RIDs (if data exists).
This allows queries to be written more succinctly. Note that mixed operators are not fully supported within parentheses at this time.
