New Hot Papers from the January update of Essential Science Indicators

After each bimonthly update of Essential Science Indicators from Clarivate Analytics, we look at New Hot Papers, which are papers published in the past two years that are in the top one-tenth of one percent (0.1%) for their field and publication period.

For the fifth bimonthly update of 2017, which was published in January and covers 1 January 2007 – 31 October 2017, we identified a total of 3,056 Hot Papers. Of these, 1,903 papers were not Hot Papers in the previous update.

The below table lists the latest New Hot Papers in Essential Science Indicators with the highest cite counts in their fields:
