PHILADELPHIA, April 24, 2017 – Target Druggability, the latest application from the Clarivate Analytics Drug Research Advisor suite of tools, was selected as a finalists in Bio-IT World’s 2017 Best Practices Awards.
The Bio-IT World Best Practices Awards highlight outstanding innovations and developments in the world of life sciences, bringing together a unique group of influencers who have contributed to research, discovery and clinical development.
Target Druggability was designed to assist researchers to quickly identify and rank potential targets for a disease or condition. With up to 40% of drug development failures occurring because the wrong target was selected, researchers need the instant access to the complete landscape of scientific information and the analytic tools Target Druggability provides.
“With Target Druggability, I can have a clear global view of the system I need to investigate in a relatively short time,” said Andrea Ferraris, chemometrician and computational chemist at Bracco Imaging.
Target Druggability was also selected as one of five finalists in the Fierce Innovation Awards, Life Sciences Edition, in the Analytics/Business Intelligence category in December 2016.
“Clearly the Target Druggability tool is innovative, and achieving a second award nomination is a great honor,” said Leo Lafferty-Whyte, Head of Discovery & Translational Science Products for Clarivate Analytics. “With this kind of industry recognition, plus clients who are seeing its success first hand, we’re excited about the value it’s bringing to research, not only with its intelligent insights and analytics, but also in its time savings.”
The winners of the 2017 Bio-IT World Best Practices Awards will be announced live at their annual conference and expo on Thursday, May 25, at Boston’s Seaport World Trade Center in Massachusetts.
