Clarivate library workflow solutions elevate the user experience for library staff and patrons
London, U.K. December 14, 2023– Clarivate Plc (NYSE:CLVT), a global leader in connecting people and organizations to intelligence they can trust to transform their world, has successfully implemented library software solutions from InnovativeTM for Singapore’s National Library Board (NLB) library system. NLB’s library patrons can now enjoy an elevated user experience and new features such as an intuitive user interface and custom catalogs as they access NLB’s library catalogue.

How this was done:
- The Polaris Integrated Library System (ILS) and Vega Discover applications from Innovative provide automation solutions for library staff and patrons. These solutions help to improve the library experience for staff and patrons, whether in the physical library or online.
- The Vega Discover catalog enables libraries to engage patrons through an intuitive search interface and custom catalogs for unique audiences such as the Vega Discover Kids Catalog.
- Custom API support designed by Clarivate supports local systems such as self-check kiosks, book sorters, the NLB Mobile app and reservation lockers to improve efficiency.
Established in 1995, the National Library Board, Singapore, promotes reading, learning and history through its network of libraries, the National Library and the National Archives of Singapore. LAB25 (Libraries and Archives Blueprint 2025) is an NLB initiative to collaborate with partners and the community to reimagine libraries and archives in Singapore.
