Ex Libris and Innovative channels will become Clarivate for Academic Libraries and Clarivate for Public Libraries
LONDON, UK, August 26, 2026 – Clarivate Plc (NYSE: CLVT), a leading global provider of transformative intelligence, today announced that its Ex Libris and Innovative social media channels will be renamed to provide a clearer, more consistent experience for library customers and communities.
The updated channel names are part of a phased move toward a more consistent Clarivate identity across customer touchpoints. The transition is intended to make it easier for library customers to identify the information and communities most relevant to them while preserving the expertise, relationships and product focus they value.
From August 28, 2026, the Ex Libris social media channels will become Clarivate for Academic Libraries, while the Innovative social media channels will become Clarivate for Public Libraries.
Followers do not need to take any action. The renamed channels will continue to share product news, customer stories, community updates, events and practical resources relevant to academic and public libraries.
This is a change to the channel names and visual identity only. Clarivate products, customer relationships, support arrangements and user communities remain unchanged. Product names, including Alma, Primo, Rapido, Sierra, Polaris and Vega, will also remain unchanged.
Customers may see “Formerly Ex Libris” or “Formerly Innovative” in channel descriptions during the transition period.
