Clarivate and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Iraq work together for a stronger research ecosystem
London, U.K. January 15, 2025. Clarivate Plc (NYSE:CLVT), a leading global provider of transformative intelligence, today announced a multi-year agreement with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Iraq to advance their national research and innovation objectives.
The engagement will provide strategic guidance, data and analytics, and skills development to align institutional research outputs with national priorities, building long-term researcher practices and excellence.

As part of this collaboration, Clarivate will provide high-level analysis of Iraq’s research landscape, using Web of Science data and insights to identify priority areas, supporting evidence-based decision-making across the ministry and participating universities.
A selected cohort of institutions will receive tailored strategies to strengthen performance, supported by workshops on research quality, impact, grant writing, rankings and commercialization. A national Researchers’ Academy will further build capacity through a year-long programme focused on core research and teaching competencies.
