In this webinar we will discuss established and emerging AD biomarkers and consider how systems biology approaches can provide a robust scientific rationale to support adoption of new biomarkers and accelerate approval of new drugs.
Universities have long sought partnerships with the pharmaceutical industry to bring new therapies to patients, but often struggle to find investors for early-stage research. Understanding the research landscape within commercial organizations can help academic centers more effectively position research programs in an industry context, and make smarter partnering decisions to advance healthcare and demonstrate an institution’s potential impact on patient lives. In this webinar recording, our life sciences deal experts dive deeper into partnering activity between academia and pharma to provide insights on: - Patenting hotspots in the academic drug research landscape. - Partnering activity in institutions around the globe and what might be driving the differences. - The timing of deal making between academia and drug companies. - Best practice approaches for aligning academic research to pharma industry needs for maximum impact.
A recent Global Research Report from the Institute for Scientific Information, Subject diversity in research portfolios revealed that countries and institutions with evenly balanced research portfolios are more resilient and better positioned to respond to unforeseen challenges than those with more specialized portfolios. In this webinar, Chief Scientist Jonathan Adams will outline a novel, forward-looking and readily usable analytical approach to evaluate the capacity and competency of research organizations and nations. Join us to learn how assessing the balance of your organization’s research portfolio can provide actionable information to help you build organizational resilience and accomplish strategic goals.

Evaluation for program accountability is challenging. Especially where the research process may be poorly understood, where outputs cannot be predicted in advance, outcomes may be far into the future and causality is difficult to establish. In addition, the trends and methods are changing rapidly. In this webinar we will discuss these trends, explore how your peers are overcoming these challenges and how to create a robust program evaluation at your organization.

In the latest itineration of the Highly Cited Researchers (HCR) list, Clarivate has identified 81 HCRs with a Singapore primary affiliation. 88% of the Highly Cited Papers published by these HCRs were when they were affiliated to a Singapore organization, rather than their previous works elsewhere. This means the local research ecosystem has supported the creation of these impactful works over the past decade. With the high number of HCRs from Singapore, the next milestone to look forward is for Singapore to soon welcome her first Nobel Laureate. To that end, Clarivate has since 2002 released an annual list of global researchers that are “Nobel Class”. Dubbed as Citation Laureates, to date 59 of them went on to win the Nobel prize, 29 of them within 2 years of being listed. Join our webinar with Professor Andy Hor, Professor Barry Halliwell, David Pendlebury and Inn Beng Lee as they walk through and unveil insights of Singapore journey towards achieving research excellence, and global recognition of research impact.
