Introduction
All researchers, regardless of ability, need access to scholarly information. ProQuest is committed to providing all our users with a fully accessible experience for research, teaching and learning.
At ProQuest, we make every effort to ensure that our platforms—including ProQuest ETD Dashboard—can be used by everyone. ProQuest ETD Dashboard is continually designed and developed to meet Level AA of the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act for features and functions.
Accessibility features and gaps
Users of ProQuest ETD Dashboard should be able to:
- Browse, display, filter, download, and print a set of six charts designed to provide insights into dissertation and thesis retrievals at their own and other universities using the keyboard. The context for these retrievals is the ProQuest Dissertations and Theses (PQDT) database product.
- Explore and apply filter options, as well as save a filtered view.
- Listen to a screen reader read aloud page content, including chart data.
- Use Tab or Shift+Tab to tab through and interact with form elements like links, buttons, checkboxes, and menus.
- Data represented on each of the six charts is available for download to a CSV file. Additionally, Usage by Country data is displayed in a sortable table directly beneath the chart.
There may be some parts of this website that are not fully accessible:
- Lack of labels on some form elements may prevent screen readers from identifying those elements.
- Additional alt text attributes are needed for some
tags.
- Development work providing logical Tab order and clear visual focus is complete and ready for inclusion in an up-coming release.
If you have a disability and need to make your computer, tablet or other device easier to use, AbilityNet is a recommended resource. We also recommend browsing free add-ons offered for Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.
