New WoS February 3 Release Notes

Export to Refworks and other export updates and regional content in panoramic article view

Export to RefWorks

In response to user feedback, we’ve added export to RefWorks. This export option directly exports records to your RefWorks account.

Export in RIS format

We’ve extended RIS export to the following collections:

  • BIOSIS Citation Index
  • Biological Abstracts
  • SciELO Citation Index

Users can now export search summary metadata as full record metadata is not yet available for export in these collections.

Printable HTML File update

In response to user feedback, record numbering is now available in the Printable HTML File exported file.

Chinese Science Citation Database now available in Panoramic article view

We continue to make it easier to access all information about articles indexed in many collections by expanding the panoramic article view beyond the collections already supported (BIOSIS Citation Index, BIOSIS Previews, Biological Abstracts, CABI: CAB Abstracts® and Global Health®, FSTA®-the food science resource, Inspec®, MEDLINE®, and Zoological Record).

In this release, fields available in Chinese from Chinese Science Citation Database (for example, author names, article title, abstract) are presented when viewing the Panoramic article view in All Database and Web of Science Core Collection if you have access to Chinese Science Citation Database. Visibility of the original Chinese characters helps you search more precisely when searching on author names, source titles, etc.  If you wish to read the complete full record from Chinese Science Citation Database, you may easily navigate to it by clicking the database name at the top of the page.

More local language content from regional databases will be added in coming releases.

Export SD file from the Derwent Chemistry Resource database

Users can now export compounds in SD file format from the Derwent Innovations Index. The output file will include both the chemical structure and the information as recorded in the Derwent Chemistry Resource database, including the standardized molecular formula.

Thank you for your support and feedback. Together we will bring a better Web of Science to all.
