Increasingly, moderate-to-severe psoriasis represents an increasingly lucrative market for targeted systemic treatments. Although adult psoriasis and pediatric psoriasis are similar, there are more adult psoriasis clinical variations than pediatric psoriasis, and adult psoriasis treatments far exceed that of pediatric psoriasis. TNF-alpha inhibitors, Otezla (Celgene), and the IL-12/23 inhibitor Stelara (Janssen) continue to dominate targeted therapy patient share.
