René Böttcher
Associate Director for Discovery and Translational Science Consulting
René acts as Associate Director for Discovery and Translational Science Consulting at Clarivate. His team leverages network biology and machine learning to advance pharma and biotech customers’ research projects across a broad spectrum of areas, including target and biomarker identification, patient stratification and drug repositioning.
René has more than 10 years of experience as a computational biologist in both industry and academia. Through working in various fields including cancer biology, cellular signaling, molecular virology and network biology, René gathered a deep understanding of data processing (ETL), analyses, visualization and interpretation using a variety of molecular assay platforms.
René holds a PhD in Bioinformatics from Erasmus University Rotterdam (The Netherlands) and completed this Bachelors and Masters in Biosystems technology / Bioinformatics at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau (Germany).
