New Hot Papers in Essential Science Indicators April Edition

Essential Science Indicators (ESI) from Clarivate Analytics undergoes a data update every two months. Included in this update are the latest New Hot Papers, which are papers published in the past two years that are in the top one-tenth of one percent (0.1%) for their field and publication period.

For the sixth bimonthly update, which was published in January and covers 1 January 2006-31 December 2016, there were a total of 2,828 Hot Papers. Of these, 1,791 papers were not Hot Papers in the previous update.

The below table lists the latest New Hot Papers in ESI with the highest cite counts in their fields:
