We are pleased to announce a new partnership with Altmetric, a Digital Science business based in the UK. The partnership agreement, which was fully executed on January 30th, 2017, is designed to provide mutual subscribers of the Web of Science and Altmetric Explorer with Times Cited counts visible in Altmetric Explorer and linking directly into the Web of Science application. The launch of this new functionality in Explorer was announced in the press release .
We are very excited about this partnership for several reasons, but first and foremost, it is a great way to serve our customers by extending the use of our content into additional workflows, enabling them to better leverage their investment in the Web of Science. We are also excited about this partnership because it allows the top citation metrics provider and the top alternative metrics provider to work together to meet the needs of our mutual subscribers/users by providing a more complete picture of the interest in their research and its impact. We hope to actively create additional integrations between our offerings and to continue to work together to serve our customers’ needs.
