Tim Gardner
Head of Editorial Systems, Web of Science
Tim’s responsibilities include driving the development of the processes and systems used by the global editorial team, along with the improvement of internal and external reporting.
Tim joined Clarivate in 2022 as Lead Publication Selection Strategist for Web of Science. Prior to joining Clarivate, Tim held roles with Frontiers; first as a specialist defining and launching new journals in their Sustainability portfolio, and later as Journal Manager for three open access journals within the Engineering portfolio. During his time at Frontiers, Tim was part of several working groups that undertook projects to improve and optimize processes and procedures used by the editorial teams. Tim also held a scientific communications role for Elsevier, writing and promoting lay summaries of scientific articles.
Tim holds a BSc in Environmental Biology from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, and a master’s degree in Environmental Management and Consultancy from Lancaster University.
