Stand out with user-centric interlibrary-loan services
Join the 15 Australian academic institutions already using Rapido
Up to a week.
This is the time it takes for users to receive an article borrowed from another library.
Filling ILL requests for hard-to-find materials isn’t simple. Reaching out to libraries, finding the institution holding the right material, and getting it into the user’s hands are only a few of the required steps.
Since the first institution adopted Rapido in 2021, a third of Australia’s academic institutions have shifted their approach and teamed up to provide a user-first experience. They have opened up their collections to the network and allowed users to access these materials right from within the discovery interface.

With these barriers removed,
- 82% of requests are now filled in-network
- Turnaround time for articles and book chapters dropped to 12h
“Students really like the unmediated access to additional content. From the Library’s perspective, we believe it’s exposing more of our unique collections, which is great.”
