올 해 톰슨로이터 노벨상 예측 리스트에서 주목해서 볼만 연구자는, 생리학 및 의학 부문에서 통증을 느끼도록 하는 분자 구조의 메커니즘을 밝혀낸 David Julius, 대규모 유전체 반복단위변이의 발견 및 특정 질병과의 연관 관계를 밝혀 낸 Charles Lee, Stephen W Scherer 및 Michael H. Wigler 입니다. 물리학에서는 데이터 보관과 광학계산에 사용될 수 있는, 빛 발생 나노와이어 연구로 Peidong Yang이 리스트에 올랐습니다. 화학에서는, 현재 스마트폰, 태블릿, 고화질 텔레비전에 만능으로 사용되고 있는 기술인 유기 발광 다이오드의 발명으로 유명한 Ching W.
