Guidance on communications and marketing

Whether you publish one journal or two thousand, we know you are proud of their inclusion in Web of Science Journal Citation Reports™ and want to shout about it.

When announcing your Journal Impact Factor™, we recommend providing additional contextual information alongside of it to help your audience understand the full scope of your journal’s impact and influence.

If your organization subscribes to Journal Citation Reports, you can use the rich data and visualizations from your journals’ profile pages, such as trend graphs and citation distribution patterns, in your promotional messaging and campaigns. In addition, consider including your own data, such as social media views, website visits or submission-to-publication times.

An example of how to highlight your Journal Impact Factor or other rich data on social media platforms. Simple, confident and effective visuals.
