Today, industry recognizes the need to work with external partners, beyond their R&D, to access specialized knowledge and accelerate products from lab to market. At the same time, universities are recognizing their role as an innovation partner in finding solutions to complex social, environmental and economic challenges. Thus, universities make natural allies for industry and offer access to enormous global pools of talent and ideas which forges a win-win partnership.

At Innovation Forum 2019, we have discussed the role of industry-academic collaborations to drive innovation in Thailand 4.0 with leading experts in academia, industry and government. We also explored the role that data plays in identifying and making these partnerships a success.
