Clarivate are pleased to introduce a three-part workshop on “Basics of bibliometrics” that aims to provide participants with a thorough understanding of citation analysis and bibliometric indicators, focusing on their use in research evaluation.
The sessions are scheduled on Oct 17,19 and 21 at 11:00 AM IST. Each session will be of 60 min. duration.
After completing the workshop, the participants will be able to:
> Understand and interpret a wide range of publication- and citation-based statistics
> Understand what constitutes proper and improper use of bibliometric and scientometric information in the evaluation of scientific research.

o Learn to calculate citation trend data and h-index.
o Learn which citation indicators to use at a researcher level.
o Compare and contrast areas of research understanding the differences in research dissemination.
o Compare and contrast the various methods used to measure the impact that a single paper has made on a population
o Understand collaborative networks of various researchers and institutions.
o Understand the benefits/detriments to collaborating cross disciplinary, internationally, or with industry or corporate institutions.
o Benchmark collaborations and analyse successful elements of the collaboration on a publication level.
