Thousands of state residents currently receiving care in Minnesota through the state-subidized MinnesotaCare program could be moved into state exchanges as a part of national healthcare reform. However, Minnesota is welle equipped to handle the influx of new members due to Medicaid expansions. Molina has entered the Wisconsin managed care landscape with its purcahse of local Abri Health Plan, and stands to gain members quickly due to the state re-bidding HMO contracts for Southeastern Milwaukee. A medication therapy management program in Wisconsin, already showing some cost savings for particpating health plans, is set to gained much-needed size and scope, while Minnesota HMO Medica is exploring launching an MTM program for its commercial book of business.
