In this report, we use data from the Clarivate Drugs to Watch™ series from 2015 to 2016, which projected potential blockbusters based on expected 2019 and 2020 annual sales, respectively. The reports analyzed promising, emerging therapies at the time with blockbuster potential to plot pharma’s trajectory to the industry it is today.
We identify:
- trends that have driven blockbuster status,
- challenges that knocked some therapies off course and hindered launch and uptake and
- practical steps for realistic forecasting.
