Many well-established therapies are available to treat ulcerative colitis (UC) in the EU5. TNF-alpha inhibitors (Janssen\u2019s Remicade, AbbVie\u2019s Humira), a CAM inhibitor (Takeda\u2019s Entyvio), and an IL-12\/23 inhibitor (Janssen\u2019s Stelara) are the most widely used biologics for moderate to severe UC and are entrenched as first-line biologics. In addition, several new therapies, including JAK inhibitors (Pfizer\u2019s Xeljanz, AbbVie\u2019s Rinvoq, and Alfasigma\u2019s Jyseleca), an IL-23 inhibitor (Eli Lilly\u2019s Omvoh), S1P-R modulators (BMS\u2019s Zeposia and Pfizer\u2019s Velsipity), and biosimilars of infliximab and adalimumab have been approved for UC in Europe in the past few years. The availability of agents from different drug classes and the launch of biosimilars not only expand treatment options but also influence physicians\u2019 prescribing behavior and thus the treatment landscape.<\/p>\n
