In addition, the condition is highly comorbid with some psychiatric conditions, such as\u00a0MDD\u00a0and\u00a0ASD.<\/li>\n<li>Although interviewed sleep specialists commonly diagnose\u00a0DSWPD, they cite challenges in differentiating circadian\u00a0DSWPD\u00a0from noncircadian (i.e., behavioral)\u00a0DSWPD. Interviewed psychiatrists usually consider\u00a0DSWPD\u00a0as secondary to a psychiatric disorder.<\/li>\n<li>No drug is currently approved for the management of\u00a0DSWPD\u00a0in the United States and\u00a0EU5. Melatonin and some nonpharmacological approaches (e.g., light therapy) are commonly utilized in the treatment of\u00a0DSWPD. However, the patient journey may differ depending on the presence or absence of a comorbid psychiatric disorder.<\/li>\n<li>Interviewed physicians cite multiple areas of unmet need in\u00a0DSWPD,\u00a0so\u00a0opportunities exist for drug development in\u00a0DSWPD.
