Takeda\u2019s Entyvio (a cell adhesion molecule [CAM] inhibitor), Pfizer\u2019s Xeljanz \/ Xeljanz XR (an oral Janus-activated kinase [JAK]\u00a0inhibitor), and Janssen\u2019s Stelara (an interleukin [IL]-12\/23 inhibitor) have expanded the treatment options for moderate to severe UC, but significant unmet need remains, especially in the treatment of UC patients refractory to these therapies.
