We report the diagnosed prevalence of the disease for each country, as well as annualized case counts projected to the national population.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to forecasting diagnosed prevalent patient populations, we estimate the number of drug-treatment opportunities in specific lines of therapy.<\/p>\n<p>Clarivate Epidemiology\u2019s <abbr title=\"spinal muscular atrophy\">SMA<\/abbr> forecast will answer the following questions:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"round-bullets\">\n<li>How will changes in the levels of exposure to known risk or protective factors affect the number of people living with <abbr title=\"spinal muscular atrophy\">SMA<\/abbr>?<\/li>\n<li>Of all people diagnosed with <abbr title=\"spinal muscular atrophy\">SMA<\/abbr>, how many in each of the major mature pharmaceutical markets under study are drug-treated?<\/li>\n<li>How will demographic trends, such as population aging and improving life expectancy, affect the epidemiology of <abbr title=\"spinal muscular atrophy\">SMA<\/abbr> over the forecast period?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All forecast data are available on Clarivate\u2019s Insights Platform in tabular format, with options to download to MS Excel. All populations are accompanied by a comprehensive description of the methods and data sources used, with hyperlinks to external sources.
