Terrapinn's Ninth Annual Congress, Barcelona, Spain
The Ninth World Orphan Drug Congress 2018 organized by Terrapinn took place in Barcelona, Spain, attracting more than 500 attendees over 275 participating companies.
This year’s congress aimed to address the strategic and commercial aspects of bringing new treatments to patients suffering from rare diseases. Plenary sessions, presentations and posters focused on numerous scientific themes such as cell and gene therapies, gene editing, gene therapy development as well as global patient advocacy, global market access, real world evidence, orphan drugs policy and value based pricing and reimbursement.
Additionally, the congress agenda offered the rare disease community, including attendees from academia, pharmaceutical companies, patient representatives, regulators and sponsors, a great opportunity for dialog and networking.
