Celebrating the Inspirational Work of South African Women in Science

“Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something and that this thing must be attained.”
-Marie Curie (first scientist to be awarded a Nobel Prize in two different categories)

Being at the forefront of research and innovation, we are constantly aware of the groundbreaking academic strides made on the African continent. This month we would like to showcase and celebrate the enduring contribution that African women have made to science and the tenacity they have brought to expanding the boundaries of human knowledge.
