At eachupdate, we look at New Hot Papers, which are papers published in the past two years that are inthe top one-tenth of one percent (0.1%) for their field and publication period. For the first bimonthly update of 2017, which was published in May and covers 1 January 2007-28 February 2017, there were a total of 2,815 Hot Papers. Of these, 1,866 papers were not HotPapers in the previous update.The below table lists the latest New Hot Papers in Essential Science Indicators with the highestcite counts in their fields:
