Clarivate colleagues all in with INTA

Industry engagement is key to our customer commitment, and we’re proud that 12 Clarivate colleagues have joined INTA committees. Join us at the Annual Meeting.

At Clarivate, our mission is to provide solutions to accelerate the lifecycle of innovation. One way we help clients protect and commercialize their ideas is by partnering with the International Trademark Association (INTA) to further our mutual goals. INTA is a global not-for-profit advocacy association of brand owners and professionals dedicated to supporting trademarks and related intellectual property to foster consumer trust, economic growth, and innovation. INTA’s members are more than 7,200 organizations from 187 countries, several of which are Clarivate customers.

INTA’s mission is to support “trademarks and related intellectual property (IP) to foster consumer trust, economic growth, and innovation,”[1] which closely aligns with ours at Clarivate. In addition to sponsoring various INTA programs and events, we are pleased to announce that 12 Clarivate colleagues have been accepted to join INTA committees for the upcoming 2022-23 term.

Our team is looking forward to working diligently with our clients and other industry players on a variety of hot topic issues that are important to both Clarivate and INTA. Our colleagues have joined committees ranging from Brands and Innovation, which focuses on technological advancement and its impact on consumers and brands, to Brands for a Better Society working on corporate social responsibility (CSR) principles related to our commitment to Sustainability[2] at Clarivate.

I am personally excited for another term on INTA’s Data Protection Committee[3] where I will continue working to develop policy and resources on this area of increasing importance to trademark practitioners, especially since the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect in 2018. Overall, Clarivate is well represented on INTA committees for the upcoming term, with colleagues from Sales and Marketing, Policy and Advocacy, Market Strategy, Commercial Operations, Content, New Markets and our Executive Leadership Team all eager to get to work on our INTA committees.

 

Listening to our customers, contributing to industry discourse

At INTA and elsewhere, we know that industry engagement is crucial to our success. By actively participating in the industries we serve, Clarivate works alongside our customers, governments and industry groups to solve some of today’s most challenging societal problems. For example, Clarivate colleagues are actively engaged in efforts ranging from fighting COVID-19[4] to solving the balance between cybersecurity investigation needs and domain registrant privacy rights. In addition to contributing to the greater good, industry engagement allows us to listen[5] to our customers and our markets – and contribute our expertise and information to meaningful industry discourse – at expanded scale.

Our commitment at Clarivate to helping innovators discover, protect and commercialize their inventions goes beyond investing in our products and services, extending to the important work we do with governments and in the industries we serve. By taking an active role with industry groups like INTA, we can help shape the world in which we operate, and create an environment that enables our clients to innovate faster and protect and commercialize their IP better.
