- Patent offices in Asia received two thirds of all applications filed worldwide in 2018, primarily driven by growth in China.[1]
- Offices located in Asia accounted for 70% of all trademark filing activities in 2018, up from 36.2% in 2008.[2]
- Asia accounted for more than two thirds of all industrial design applications filed worldwide in 2018.[3]
- Of the top 10 country code top-level domain name registrations as of 2019, .CN (the Chinese country code) ranked second.
