This update includes the latest New Hot Papers, which are papers published in the past two years that are in the top one-tenth of one percent (0.1%) for their field and publication period.<\/p>\n<p>For the fifth bimonthly update, which was published in January and covers January 1 2006-October 31 2016, there were a total of 2,853 Hot Papers.
