At each update, we look at New Hot Papers, which are papers published in the past two years that are in the top one-tenth of one percent (0.1%) for their field and publication period.<\/p>\n<p>For the first bimonthly update of 2018, which was published in May and covers 1 January 2008-28 February 2018, there were a total of 2,901 Hot Papers.
