At each update, we look at New Hot Papers, which are papers published in the past two years that are in the top one-tenth of one percent (0.1%) for their field and publication period.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For the third bimonthly update of 2017, which was published in September and covers 1 January 2007-30 June 2017, we identified a total of 2,870 Hot Papers.
