Acquisition of the Thomson Reuters Intellectual Property and Science Business by Onex and Baring Asia Completed

Independent business becomes Clarivate Analytics

PHILADELPHIAOct. 4, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — The previously announced sale of the Thomson Reuters Intellectual Property & Science business to Onex Corporation and Baring Private Equity Asia was completed today. The company’s many well‐known brands include Web of Science™, Cortellis™, Thomson Innovation™, Derwent World Patents Index™, Thomson CompuMark™, MarkMonitor®, Thomson IP Manager™and Techstreet™, among others.

The newly independent company will be known as Clarivate Analytics, a name that speaks to accelerating the pace of innovation with the trusted insights and analytics it provides to customers. The new name is effective immediately, and new branding will be implemented across the company’s products and services, beginning in early 2017.
