Gordon Samson joined Clarivate in October 2020 with the acquisition of CPA Global and was appointed President, Intellectual Property (IP) in April 2023, leading our IP segment and empowering customers to establish, protect and manage their IP.
Gordon has over 30 years of experience in B2B and has held senior executive roles with both operating and P&L accountability in private, private equity backed and public companies. He previously served as Chief Product Officer at Clarivate, with responsibility across all product lines, and Head of APAC Strategy & Growth, where he helped drive the company’s focus on being customer-centric across regions and verticals. At CPA Global, now part of Clarivate, he was Chief Operating Officer, leading the business in a period of strong organic growth and strategic M&A, building operating models that delivered efficiency and improved profitability.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of West of Scotland.
